See complete details on the Summer Drama Program and all our other Summer activities on our 2009 Summer Camp and Programs web page Emma's Orchard has returned to the Melrose YMCA Courtyard. Their schedule this year will be Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7:00am (setting up) until 3:00pm or until the crowd dies down. Wednesday will serve as a rain date for Tuesday. This year Emma's looks forward to including breads, honey and syrup from local businesses. Just think, fresh blueberries with french toast! Beginning with the Spring II Session all children's swim lessons will be refered to using the child's age rather than the YMCA Lesson Names (Shrimp, Kipper, Inia, Pike, Ray, etc.). There will now be classes for Parent/Child, Preschool and School Age. We feel this will be much easier for parents to understand when enrolling their child. If you have any questions contact the business office at 781-665-4360 or email Co-Aquatics director, Jeff Mackey at jeff.mackey@melroseymca.org The Melrose YMCA will no longer be mailing the Class Catalog automatically to everyone. If you would like to continue to receive it in the mail please tell us by filling out the form that appears on the last page of the current Class Catalog, the printable form on the website (.pdf file) or the form in the Y lobby and returning it to the Business Office. This is our effort to reduce the use of paper. As an alternative, we will send out an email notice to members when the Class Catalog has been posted on the website. Are you an on-line shopper? If you make any on-line purchases you could be donating to the Y at the same time. All you have to do is visit iGive.com and chose the Melrose Y as your charity of choice. Then proceed to the on-line store of your choice and make your purchases. The YMCA will get a percentage of your entire purchase. You can still get all of the sale prices and discounts that are promoted by the retailer, that won't effect the donation to the Y. The important thing to remember is that you must go to iGive.com first, before you buy anything, every time. Or, you can choose an option that will send a pop-up notice to your computer screen if you visit the website of a participating retailer. Then simply click on the pop-up and let the shopping begin! The iGive.com web site lets you choose from the over 680 retailers (including Ebay, Overstock.com, Godiva, Staples, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Lands End, Snapfish). Pick the ones you shop with and just make your purchases. The donation is automatic. Why not give it a try! Think about it, you can buy what you need and help the Y all at the same time! Thank you for your support.
