| Our Main Street Fitness Center |
On Monday October 13, 2003, the Melrose Family YMCA re-opened our newly expanded and refurbished Fitness Center. We are proud to be able to show you some photos of it here.
We made the area larger and replaced all of our old equipment with brand new Nautilus machines. We added three Concept II rowing machines that are a brand new design . Also new are four recumbent Lifecycles and four upright Lifecycles, six flat screen televisions, a new stereo surround sound system, and a Yoga/Pilates room that will also be used as a stretching room.
The opening of our Youth and Teen Fitness Center on Tremont Street means that this Fitness Center will now be one for members age 19 and up only during six days of the week. Teens will be allowed in on Sundays only since the Youth and Teen Fitness Center is closed.
We invite everyone to come down to our 497 Main Street building to see the fruits of our labor. Our adult members are welcome to use the facility during regular operating hours. Non-members are welcome to come down anytime to take a tour of all our facilities including our Fitness Center.
For a complete list of all our new Nautilus machines, see our new fitness center equipment page.
