The YMCA Strengthens More Than Muscles!
At the Y, you and your family can join to swim, exercise, lift weights, take saunas and whirlpools, and enjoy dozens of other exciting physical activities. Our facilities have even more to offer including child care, youth sports and teen leadership programs to name a few.
Our programs are designed to bring siblings closer together, build new relationships, strengthen family bonds, and lead to a healthier lifestyle.
Two levels of membership are offered:
BASIC LEVEL - entitles a member to use the pool during lap swim and open swim, receive the member discount on adult specialty and youth programs and the use of the basic locker and steam rooms. Open gym is scheduled for members throughout the year but is limited in the winter. A member is also eligible to use our newly refurbished Fitness Center. You must be 19 years old.. The Fitness Center is equipped with a full circuit of brand new Nautilus machines. Free nautilus training is available to all members.
HEALTH CLUB LEVEL - entitles members to the full benefits of the YMCA's facilities. In addition to the basic level membership priviliges, upgrading to the Health Club allows members to enjoy the steam room, sauna, whirlpool, lock and locker and TV/lounge area with towel service. Health Club members are also entitled to take classes at half price every session (certain specialty classes excepted) and to extra discounts on massages.
Both Levels - Adult Health Enchancement classes are FREE for full-privileged adult members, specialty classes excepted. These classes are mostly open enrollment. You may take an unlimited number of classes.
We offer two ways of paying for your membership. You may choose our annual fee method where you pay for your one year membership all at once (cash, check, or major credit card). Or you may elect to enroll in our continuous bank draft membership where your monthly fee is withdrawn directly from your bank account each month. The Melrose YMCA charges no finance charge on bank draft memberships. Each month you pay 1/12 of the yearly fee.
