Toys From Home

Whenever possible, we ask that you please refrain from allowing your child to bring in toys from home. Other than possible choking hazards or sharing issues, these objects tend to get lost easily and cause undo frustration both for your child and the babysitters.

New Pass List

Don't forget to check the pass list every day to see whether or not your name is on it. It is updated all day long so please check often.

Signing In And Out

Important!! Please remember to always sign in when you bring your child into the room and sign out when you come to pick up your child. This is how we charge your passes so it is very important that we have accurate records. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Please Cover Up!

Warmer weather is upon us and that means girls wearing pretty dresses! If your child is going to wear a dress, for sanitary reasons we ask that you please put on a cover up or a pair of shorts over her diaper or underwear. Thank you.

Change is Coming...

Summertime means change to the Babysitting room. We wanted to give you a heads up to what those changes will be to assist you and your child in the transition. First, effective June 1, we will no longer have the second floor babysitting room. All children will be downstairs every day. Next, mid-June we will be moving from the front room we are currently in into the Board Room behind this room on the first floor. Once we move, we no longer offer evening or Saturday hours. Rest assured that the same quality of service will be there in our new room to take your kids through the summer. If anyone had any questions, please do not hesitate to ask any of the babysitters.

Our Snack Policy

All snacks (Cheerios and Saltines) are supplied by the YMCA. This is done to help avoid possible issues with allergies. Children are encouraged to bring a non-peanut or non-chocolate based drink with them, preferably in a sippy cup.

No Carriages

Carriages of any kind are not permitted in the Babysitting Room. Dirt from wheels remains on the floor and creates an unclean environment for our crawling babies.

Socks, Slippers, and Shoes

Little feet need to be covered with socks, slippers or shoes while in the Babysitting Room. It keeps their feet warm and cozy and helps prevent toes from getting stepped on.

A Safety Concern

Recently, small objects such as rocks, small cars and even coins have been found in our Infant Room. These are huge choking hazards four our little ones. Please help us by checking you child's pockets, small purses, etc. for small objects prior to entering our room.

Outstanding Balances

All members using babysitting who owe 2 hours or more will not be able to use the Babysitting Service until all outstanding balances are paid. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Staff Board

A new addition to Babysitting is the Staff Board located on the wall outside of the downstairs room. All of your favorite babysitters are there with their pictures and some interesting tidbits of info. Give a look and let us know what you think.

Helping Hands Wish List

We are always grateful for donations to our Babysitting Room. Starting shortly, check out our wish list posted on the bulletin board outside our room. Items needed are written on hands displayed on the board. Anyone interested in donating to us can simply take a hand and bring that item in. We will be most grateful.
