| 1 to 1 Personal Fitness |
|
The Melrose Family YMCA offers members access to complete personal fitness training through a partnership with 1 to 1 Personal Fitness which is owned and operated by Joseph Ingemi and Mary Soraghan-Ingemi. Joseph is an exercise physiologist and athletic trainer and Mary is a Physical Therapist and Certified Nutrition Manager.
Personal training is the science of teaching a client how to use their body correctly and efficiently in every action he or she might execute. This includes but is not limited to weight training and cardiovascular exercise. Personal training is frequently used for advances in sports specific training, rehabilitation (pre and post-surgery), weight loss, and general fitness. The best personal training is accomplished in individual sessions to ensure focus is placed on one client at a time.
1 to 1 Personal Fitness has been working in cooperation with the Melrose Family YMCA since 1997. All 1 to 1 Personal Fitness trainers hold a degree and/or certification in the health and fitness field. Each trainer will work with their client to tailor an individual plan to help the client reach their desired goal as quickly and efficiently as possible. Trainers will constantly review your progress and make appropriate adjustments to keep you headed on the right path to accomplish your goals.

| 1 to 1 Personal Fitness' exercise philosophy is to train the body to handle the demands of everyday life. We refer to it as "Functional Training". The Melrose YMCA Fitness Center has some of the latest functional training equipment available in the area.
